Is it too late or too early for you to think about protecting your family financial future?  No!

Life insurance is protection against financial loss resulting from death.  Life insurance is one of the most important purchases an individual can make for their family.  Life insurance may be one of the most widely purchased products; yet it is a product that most consumers do not completely understand.

Life insurance is an insurance company’s promise to pay your beneficiary a specific amount of money when you die in exchange for timely payment of premiums.  There are several facts that you need to consider while you search for a life insurance carrier; 1) the price of the product, 2) the longevity of the insurance company, 3) the quality of customer service at the insurance company, and 4) the trust you have with your agent or insurance company.

Why do you need life insurance?  Whether you think about it or not, your ability to earn income is a significant asset and life insurance helps replace lost income in the event of your premature death.  The death benefit from your life insurance may be used for the following; 1) to replace income the family would need to maintain their standard of living after your death, 2) to pay off a mortgage loan and other personal or business debts, 3) to create a fund for children’s education, 4) to pay final expenses, such as funeral costs and taxes, and 5) to create a family emergency fund or a fund for a family member with special needs.

Would you and your family have the means to cover current debts and daily living expenses?

The financial consequences of a disability can be devastating.  You can lose your home, standard of living, credit rating, savings and other assets and most of all your peace of mind.

Disabilities are more common than you think; approximately 35% of people ages 35 to 55 suffer a disability of at least 90 days.

Your group long-term disability insurance is a great benefit, it typically covers 60% of your income, but the benefits are usually taxable.  Can you survive 42% or greater pay cut?

Common disability claims are caused by Back problems, Cancer, Cardiac Illnesses, Injuries, Nervous Disorders, Nervous System Disorders and Non-back related orthopedic issues.
